I’m late to the party I know. I don’t know why I didn’t bother watching it sooner. Part of the reason why I watched it now is because I heard of the second season coming. I regret not hopping aboard sooner but glad I was able to binge that because that shit would’ve driven me insane waiting for episode after episode.

I was wondering though, since I am late to the party and didn’t really pay attention what I’d see people say about the anime but is the reason why some people dislike the anime a bit is because the way Rem gets rejected in episode 18? Which affected how I felt about the ending and was wondering if that was part of the reason why I heard some people dislike the ending(which seems to be happening a lot to anime lately)

Shit got way too real for me there in episode 18 where poor Rem just confessed like that and that whole scene had me the feels. That whole damn scene had more soul pouring than I’ve seen in a long time. I mean at least she took it well...

But problem is because of that, and my investment in poor Rem in wanting her to be happy, her getting rejected like that I couldn’t be happy with the ending. I mean sure, Subaru isn’t obligated to love her back but damn man what had Emilia REALLY done to make you love her more than Rem Rem?

Apologies. Like I said I’m late to the party but this shit is fresh from the binge. I’m really just wondering if my feelings here is what everybody felt when the first season was actually new.
