Hello, and welcome back from our break for our combined June/July news roundup! This will be a relatively brief edition, despite the month off, let's get going!

Home Video & Streaming News

• Summer 2018 Simulcasts

• Manga UK

  • Manga UK have confirmed thats they will be releasing both seasons of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Trailer) as a standard edition release on August 6th on DVD and Blu-ray.
  • Mangas Q4 lineup is now available to look at here.
  • Manga will be releasing Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters across 3 parts on Blu-ray and DVD later this year. Dragon Ball Super Part 5 will be released in October and the Dragon Ball GT complete collection in December.

• MVM Entertainment

  • MVM is planning to start phasing out DVD releases from Q4 this year onwards.

• Sony Pictures UK

  • Sony will be releasing Yuri!!! on ICE Trailer on the 24th September this year. This is confirmed as a Blu-ray/DVD combo standard pack, with the show dubbed and subbed. The set will retail at £36.99, but there is no word on whether a separate limited edition is planned.
  • Sony have also announced plans to release the series Black Clover (Trailer) in the UK. The series will be released across 5 sets with 10 episodes each starting with Part 1 on 20th August. These are DVD/Blu-ray combi packs with the show dubbed and subbed. The Blu-ray disc also includes a few extras including a making of featurette and some English cast episode commentaries.

• GundamInfo

  • Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack is now available for UK streaming on the GundamInfo youtube channel.

• Crunchyroll

  • Crunchyroll have added C3: CubexCursedxCurious, D.Gray-Man Season 4: Episodes 77-103, Ghost in the Shell ARISE and GitS: ARISE Alternative Architecture, Gosick, Ikki Tousen Season 1, Moeyo Ken, Nichijou: My Ordinary Life, The Betrayal Knows My Name, and The Mystic Archives of Dantalian for the UK.

• Netflix

  • Netflix have added Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, Fate/Grand Order -First Order-, Flavors of Youth -International Edition-, The Asterisk War, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Season 2 for UK viewers.

Theatrical News

• Showcase Cinemas will be running screenings of Spirited Away (Trailer) on Sunday, August 12th, and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (Trailer) on Friday, August 31st. Tickets for Spirited Away are available to buy on the Showcase Cinemas website now, Bebop will be available a week or two beforehand.

• Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us (Trailer) has been confirmed for release in cinemas later this year. The US release is currently scheduled for the end of November, so I would expect a similar date for us over here.

• The release of MIRAI this Novemeber has been confirmed as having both a subbed and dubbed release. Sub screenings will take place on Friday November 2nd, with dubbed screening a few days later on Sunday November 4th. You can see locations and time on the films website here.

• Picturehouse Cinemas are running a Studio Ghibli Summer Season throughout August. You can checkout the full list of films and locations on their website here. Thanks to @AgentLittleP on twitter for the heads up on this one!

• The Japan Foundation will be running a series of free anime and live-action film screenings this month in London. You can see locations and the full list of films and locations here.
