Anime Limited
- Anime Limited have acquired home video rights to Lupin the Third Part V and Tokyo Ghoul:re. These will both be released on Blu-ray later this year, and will also simulcast via Crunchyroll during the Spring season.
- AL will be releasing Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin I-IV on the 28th of May. This is a Blu-ray collection which come with an artbox and a set of 4 art card in addition to the films on BD. The films will be sub only, and the set willhave an RRP of £49.99. More details here.
Manga UK
- Manga are releasing a new Deluxe Edition version of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The set include both SAC and SAC S2, as well as the three movies. The set also includes a 140 page artbook and comes in an artbox. The set has an RRP of £149.99, but is available for preorder via Zavvi for £99.99.
- Haven't You Heard, I'm Sakamoto and Hello! Kinmoza have been delayed to 2nd July 2018. Yo-kai Watch has been cancelled.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
- Sony has released Part 1 of My Hero Academia Season 2 this April 2nd, on standard DVD and Blu-ray.
Netflix
- AICO, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (Thanks to /u/Darkblaze99 for pointing this one out.), Fate/Apocrypha, One Punch Man, Pokémon Sun & Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh! Seasons 3-5 and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V Seasons 1-2 have been added to Netflix.
- Steins;Gate has returned to Netflix in the UK. The english dub has been added for Sword Art Online II
- Netflix will also be adding Aggretsuko in April.
Crunchyroll/Funimation
- Crunchyroll/Funimation have licenced Caligula, Dances with the Dragons (w/Simuldub), Fist of the North Star -REGENESIS-, Food Wars! The Third Plate Part 2, GeGeGe no Kitaro, Golden Kamuy (w/Simuldub), Gundam Build Divers, High School DxD HERO (w/Simuldub), Isekai Izakaya: Japanese Food From Another World, Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- (w/Simuldub), Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (w/Simuldub), Love To-LIE-Angle, Lupin the Third Part V, Magical Girl Ore, Megalo Box, My Hero Academia Season 3 (w/Simulcast), Persona 5 the Animation, Shonen Ashibe GO! HIDIVE
- HIDIVE have revised their pricing structure to a single tier model. Subscriptions will now cost a flat rate of $4.99/month, with 1080p and extra screens included as standard, inststead of as add-ons, which was the case previously. People who started their subscription before April 8th will recieve a discount for the next two year, and will pay $3.99/month. HIDIVE have also announced plans to launch their own dubcasts, to compete with Funimations simuldub programme. This will follow a similar schedule, with dubbed episodes only a week or two behind subs.
- HIDIVE have licenced Alice or Alice, Cutie Honey Universe, Devils Line (w/Dubcast), DOREIKU The Animation (w/Dubcast), Hozuki's Coolheadedness Season 2, Real Girl and Tada Never Falls in Love.
GundamInfo
- Gundam Build Divers will be simulcasting via the GundamInfo Youtube channel starting April 3rd.
Theatrical News
Mari Okada will be visiting the UK and Ireland to attend screenings of Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin on Saturday 14th April and the Prince Charles Cinema in London on April 16th. There will be a Q&A session after both screenings.
While Mary and the Witches Flower is scheduled for release on May 18th, distributor Altitude Films have announced a set of special fan preview screenings will be held across the country on 10th April, sub only. Check the films website for locations.
Manga have confirmed they will be releasing the Chinese animated film Big Fish & Begonia theatrically on April 18th 2018. List of locations here. These will mostly be dub screenings.
The BFI Southbank in London will be hosting a large set of screenings in May as follows as part of a more general animation season and as part of an anime weekend.
