Welcome everybody to the third edition of the /r/Anime roast, where each month redditors put their taste at risk for the other redditors to roast away at.
This week's roast is...
Studio Slaughter!
Study your Studios, because this month's theme is all about roasting your favorite Studios! Want to Shaft studio Shaft or got a bone to pick with Bones? This is the place!
Monthly Rules
On top of the house roles that are stated below, there are also some weekly rules to follow with every submission:
When roasting a studio, try to keep it about the studio or their series in general, not a show in specific.
Keep roasts specific to the Studio in question, and don't roast specific staff or people.
With that, I'd say roast away!
What is a roast?
"Roasting" is a harmless yet harsh way to humorously criticize something or someone. It's usually done in a way that makes fun of it, criticizes it or even "insults" it in a friendly way!
What makes a good roast?
A good roast is a short and witty reply at the expense of the mentioned subject. It's a comment that will "burn" the subject and hates on or insults the show, but doesn't leave any lasting harm or hate. It's a comment that both the haters and lovers of the subject can laugh about and is closer to a joke than an insult.
An example of a good roast would be someone roasting Rem by saying "Even depressed NEETs aren't interested in her.". It's a witty response that while hurtful, isn't mean spirited.
To put it into pictures, a good roast is something that makes you feel like
at the same time!
House Rules
ROASTS ARE JOKES. Being funny should always be prioritized over being harsh.
You can post as many characters as you like to get roasted, as long as they're in an individual comment.
All roasts have to be about the submission, NOT the person posting them. Also try to keep the roasts in good taste, and while they may be harsh or upsetting, don't make them offensive, racist, or anything among those lines.
If you want to roast people you have to make a submission yourself too! This way we'll have a good amount of submissions to roast, and it'll feel fairer if you'll have to make yourself a target too if you want to roast people.
Do NOT start a discussion! Roasts are one sided, meaning that you leave your submission to be roasted, and not to start a discussion. Don't start typing comments with counterarguments to defend your submission. Comments on comments are allowed only by other redditors who want to add content to the roast.
Keep your submissions short, the length of roasts doesn't matter though. Don't submit anything that has already been submitted
Only nominate things that you ship yourself! So don't submit something you don't like because you want to see it roasted!
Throwing around insults like "autistic" or vague terms like "bad couple" is too subjective to be a roast, as it's not actually about the subject and more about your personal dislike towards it.
