I'm currently 4 episodes into watching Aku no Hana, which in my opinion is an incredible show, but there's also a significant community of people who seem to absolutely despise the show, and an almost equally sized community of people that love it, making the score sit around a measly 7.2 on MAL. Just looking at the reviews, they're either 9's and 10's, or 3's and 2's for the most part. This seems heavily due to the art style. Apparently the series dropped to the lowest series on MAL right after the first episode aired because the people hated the art style that much, and the series has been slowly climbing up since.
