Some Anime characters are clearly pretty messed up, it's no secret that Tatsuhiro Satou has his issues, and that Light Yagami might just be a sociopath. It's quite on the surface that these aren't normal everyday people.

But some characters seem quite normal. Sure they might have their quirks but they don't seem like they're mentally unstable. But occasionally, when you really start thinking about it or really start digging deeper, you find that there is something seriously wrong with these people that never really gets addressed in the Anime.

What Anime characters that seem normal at face value turn out to have some serious metal issues, or even verge on sociopathy? It can be either revealed in the Anime later on, or be something that you noticed yourself.
