At what point does an Anime become too long?

I think a lot of us have an opinion that a certain length is the perfect length for an Anime, and a lot of us also have an opinion on when an Anime has gotten to the point where it's way too long. At what amount of Episodes do you become discouraged from watching the rest of a series or watching the series at all?
