Why does everyone hate (SPOILER) so much in Golden Time?

Why does everyone always hate Ghost Tada Banri so much? Pretty much every time I see Golden Time mentioned here, someone brings up how Ghost Tada Banri "ruined" the show.
It was such a miniscule part of the show; he was only mainly featured in one episode. And it's debatable whether or not Ghost Tada Banri is even real or not. I always took Ghost Tada Banri to symbolize all of the memories he lost from the amnesia, not to be a literal ghost.
