I have vague memories of an anime and it's driving me crazy.

So I keep thinking about an anime I'm not sure if I watched it or imagined the whole thing. It was a typical harem anime, and the plot was nothing special, and the main characters and love interest were forgettable. I think it was made to be a satire of most Shonen shows. However for 3-4 minutes of every episode it would cut to these 2 guys playing what looks to be a board game during their lunch break at school. While they are just throwing things down in a way that is confusing at best, while shouting overly dramatic things at each other. So starting in episode 1 other students start to get curious about what they're playing, but they're gatekeeping the information. Making the other students feel as though it is outrageous that they don't understand, nor have heard of this very popular and complex game. But they do say they can watch them and if they get a grasp on the rules, they'd let them play. So in some episodes, they portray the game as like a war strategy game. In the next episode they would portray it as like a card game, and just keep saying things as they throw down stuff. So everyday more and more students start coming to watch them play this mysterious and complex game. In every game 1 of them is portray the winner and is now the master of games. On the last episode, the main characters are walking down the hall and see a sea of students trying to watch these 2 characters, as they hype up the crowd with their dynamic narrative of the game. So the main characters push their way through the crowd to see what's happening, when they get to these side characters it is then revealed that the main characters and these side characters had all been childhood friends. Then the main character looks at what they're doing and points out to the crowd this entire time they were playing tic tac toe, yelling nonsense as if they were narrating what the other was doing like it foiled their plans and then they counter what the other has done and bringing themselves to a draw, and just saying the other won, and apparently since elementary school these 2 had been gaslighting everyone that they were playing this super cool original game. He also points out that the way they do this is by alternating using cards, and figurines as their pieces to indicate they made their move. The whole crowd does that perfectly in sync cry of shock and the show ends. This side plot line was the only worth while thing about the show, and the realization they had been playing tik tac toe, made me chuckle.

I absolutely can't stop thinking about this, but there is a 90% chance it was a literal fever dream, because I was in the hospital for an advanced form of pneumonia, because I have a habit of pretending I'm not sick when I am. If I had just gone to the doctor all of it could've been avoidable. I know I was on my phone most of the time, watching anime on crunchyroll in alphabetical order. Cause I challenged myself to watch every single anime on crunchyroll. No matter how hard I look for it I can't find it. So I just wanted to talk about my frustration, and possibly have the chance to watch it again, if it is real and someone recognized these events so they can tell me.
