There's an anime I saw the first episode of as a kid that ik very little about but I loved and got so invested in as a kid here's what I remember

A really young girl Like a kidwas with her dad and he got sick they traveled on foot to what I think was her uncle's city and the dad got a lot sicker on the way and died half way and she had to continue by herself when she did she found herself in like an Oliver twist situation where she was living with a grumpy old man and a bunch of orphans who would do stuff throughout the day to make money like sell flowers and stuff like that there were two siblings over there who became friends with the girl one day her flowers got stolen and she was gonna beat up that day by the grumpy man they live with but her brother slipped her the money secretly and he got beat up instead to save his sister and the girl found the brother crying on the roof after getting beat up that's all I remember keeping in mind this was at least 10 years ago
