Currently working at a studio as a cg animator. I have been reached out to by recruiters at larger feature film studios, no offer or anything of the like, but curious if anyone here has experience in one of these studios, and what it is/was like working there. How were the hours, pay, experience? Did they allow for flexible work hours (esp during covid)? As someone who would assuming be going into a jr animation position if this did move forward, do these larger studios usually trust juniors with decent shots or would someone like me get stuck with a bunch of quick cuts and close ups of hands? Do these studios retain their new employees if things work out well, or are they already seemingly set with their core crew and new hires are usually to help during crunch on shorter contracts?
