Brief timeline of Trout's injury and how the coaches downplay it
Post Body

July 12: removed from game

July 14: Nevin says Trout is "feeling better today" and will consider using him off the bench (Game ended up being tied in the 9th and they did not use him off the bench)

July 15: Nevin says he plans on playing Trout "tomorrow" but will double check how he feels when he wakes up

July 18: announce Trout to 10-day IL with rib cage inflammation

They did the same shit with Rendon, saying he'd be available to pinch hit. Only to later say that they knew surgery was likely but were hoping to avoid it.

I wish the beat writers would push back on the coaching staff when they repeat the same excuses every time.
