Hi All,

So I’m in the market for a new tablet, I’m coming from a 5th generation iPad mini, but I think I’d like a tablet that’s a bit bigger and is out of the apple ecosystem since I don’t really have any other apple products. My main uses for it would be reading and some light media streaming like YouTube or Netflix etc. Right now I’m considering three different tablets.

The first is the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022 edition), The Galaxy Tab S7 renewed , and the Lenovo P12. I have two big considerations mainly I really appreciate the pen because I’m a grad student and I need to highlight and markup the articles I read, second I’m a bit concerned about the update potential of these tablets I heard that Lenovo will only be updated till next month. So I was wondering if anybody had any input or additional tablet suggestions. I’ve heard some good things about xiaomi but not so much in regard to pen compatibility or update potential. So any suggestion and input welcome.
