How to edit system files to remove car mode?

I have no .apk for car mode on my schi705 (on a custom 4.4.4 rom) and every thirty seconds 'car mode' turns on. I have tried all apps that claim to kill this but no luck. i read once upon a time you could alter some kind of xml file to disable it. Any help?
