Here are some screenshots (still in the early stages, the national rail API is the most horrible thing known to man, no wonder people haven't been bothered to make something nicer in the past):
Screen 1 - Dark mode
Screen 2 - Light mode
Screen 3 - Station search screen
Short video - The weird background on the bottom bar don't look like that in real life, just the screen recording
This is just showing some of my very early ideas for the UI, lots of the backend stuff is working (getting all the relevant data etc. but I'm waiting on NRE's licencing people to get back to me about access to the "Realtime Journey planner" but we should be firing on all cylinders soon!
Things to do:
- Implement "Realtime Journey planner" (fairly quick)
- Implement the alarm system (quick)
- Implement the service details screen (medium)
- Implement "Favourites" (ability to pin trains)
- Implement collaborative feautres e.g. Pop up questions like "Is this train busy?" to be relayed to other users
There WILL be a paid "pro" version which will have a few more features but mainly just to support me as the "Realtime Journey planner" is not free to use. However there will be NO ADS whatsoever even on the basic version.
Tell me what you think, waht you like/dislike and suggest good names for the app, unfortunately I do have a full time job so this is spare time stuff but I'm gettting there!
