Freezing up

My pixel 8 is running the most recent beta build. The last few days it is freezing up regardless of what app I am using or if I have just unlocked it and I try to scroll to a different page of my home screen. It is not all the time. It is intermittent. If I hold down the power button it will eventually unfreeze so I can choose to restart it. Restarting it so far is always successful at "resetting" the situation, so to speak. Sorry about my lingo but I am not a developer, just a humble user lol.
