Hi everyone, I live in Virginia and I'm currently applying for funding through my school to travel to Alaska and study a few things relating to the mass communications industry:
- Advertising professionals: how they ended up in Alaska, and what the future of the industry is like.
- For advertising students and professionals, what opportunities do they have there, and what causes them to either stay in or leave Alaska for good?
- How is the university accreditation crisis affecting what college students decide to do after graduation (do they stay in Alaska or move to lower 48)?
- Since some universities are losing accreditation, why do out-of-state students come to Alaska for college?
I'm not looking for answers in this post - I'm just wondering, who/what organizations in Anchorage would be beneficial for me to contact to serve as a point of contact for finding people to interview? My project is going to be a YouTube video documenting my research process and interviews. I'd be more likely to win funding if I have some point of contact in Anchorage that I can list on my application. Please let me know who I should reach out to! Thanks.
