How come they don't replace the road Pirates on the parks highway with speed cameras? A few years ago APD admitted to policing for profit when their budget was being cut and using speeding tickets as a way to supplement budget cuts. They obviously haven't reduced speeding accidents looking at the 40 cars in the ditch weekly.
I spent a month in France and only saw a cop on the highway once at a tollbooth. Everyone kept close to the speed limit. Cars were allowed up to 85 mph and larger cargo/container van trucks were restricted to 65 mph. The highways were also in great condition assuming the toll booths paid for the repairs.
