Hi everyone,
I am having a lot of difficulty landing an entry-level role for a data analyst position and I was wondering if anyone could help.
I have a BS in Geology. I am currently a Master's student in UCR's Data Science program.
I used to work as a lab tech mainly doing water quality testing before deciding to transition into Data Science.
I am currently trying to take the Data Analyst -> Data Scientist route.
I am currently hunting for an internship or entry-level data Data Analyst role.
I do not have a degree related to data nor do I have professional experience in data analytics so I am aware that I am at a disadvantage.
Therefore, I am relying more heavily on my portfolio projects.
Can someone give me advice on what they personally think of them and how they can be improved?
In addition, what are some other things I could do in order to be more competitive? I am thinking of obtaining a CompTIA Data Certification.
My GitHub profile is thnaing1
Thanks,
