I've recently wanted to get back into film photography, so I went out to the garage and found my old Olympus. I had found this camera in the mid 90's at my cousin's garage sale. It had been dropped, there was dent around the lens (lens was still okay), and the the glass cover on the AF illuminator was broken off. Still, I bought it for $10. It worked great for a while, but my mom loaned it to my uncle and the thing "mysteriously" came back broken, as in, it wouldn't turn on. When I recently found it again, it still had film in it. I hated to do it, but I pulled it out. I don't know if that was the right thing to do, but it made a noise like a motor was trying to wind film, or something, so something was getting power. I tried new batteries and everything, but the camera won't turn on. There's no corrosion in the batter compartment, or anything. I switch it to on, but the lens won't zoom and the back screen won't light up. I opened part of it up the other day to see if I could do something to fix it, but it didn't work. I know it's a long shot, but I'm just wondering if there's some problem these might have that might be an easy fix, or if anyone knows what I might try to do to get it to working again. I've never tried camera repair before, but if anyone might be able to give me some info that might help me out, I'd appreciate it.
TL;DR: My Olympus IS-3 won't turn on. Does anyone know how I might fix it?
