Confusing sensations

So I’ve been using a large plug for the past week without any issues. It’s very comfortable (I can pop it in and out repeatedly and wear it for an hr comfortably), but for some reason when I try to finger myself it’s super uncomfortable. My plug is at least 3x as thick as my finger so I don’t know why it hurts. Oh also I can take a girthy 8” dildo with some patience more comfortably than my finger somehow??? Pls help I want to finger myself 😩
