To me, "thug" is a race-neutral term, and it accurately describes Michael "Harry-O" Harris, who was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and then pardoned by Trump, another thug (who is also a known admirer of Putin, also a thug). I realize some people use the term as a racist dog whistle, but I don't. I just gave examples of white people I consider thugs and I could give more examples. If people think I shouldn't use that word, they should have good faith and advise me not to. Instead, on another site, somebody strongly implied that what I really wanted to say was a racial slur (when I called him out on it, he went beyond the implication), and that is not true. I also once said I felt like Beyoncé thought her shit didn't stink and someone said I might as well have called her "uppity". So tired of shit like this. It's beyond word policing. So many now assume that everyone is a racist and are waiting to pounce on somebody for what they THINK that person meant.
