a little background, my 18th birthday was jan 10th, and I didnt really make plans with anyone to do anything. Being close to the holidays, everyone is usually busy and poor so ive come to expect boring birthdays with no gifts and just family. anyway On the 9th, i had to work and we had a snow storm. My bestfriend/boss, Keegan, had agreed to take me home after work but because of the snow wanted to sleep over. Obviously I had no problem with this. We got to my house, stayed up for like an hour smoking and stuff and then went to bed.

Next day, its my birthday and I get up and go to school. Keegan graduated last year and I dont mind if he is there while im not so I let him sleep. Around 1:20 keegan got me from school and we went back to my house. At this point I was kinda just happy that I was spending time with my best friend on my birthday but unfortunately he had an appointment to get a piercing with one of our mutual friends so at about 2:45 he left. I was kinda sad that he had to leave but he had an appointment and I just said whatever but then at 6 he and our mutual decided to come back over and they came with like 60 dollars in snacks. Since he was over for the second time and got a bunch of snacks i was sure that he was going to stay for a while but i was wrong

A little more background, about like 9-10 months ago or so Keegan got with this girl we work with named Julia. Julia was me and keegans friend prior to them getting together but she got worse to me since they started dating. Anyway, After like another hour and 15 minutes, at 7:15 he goes K: "i gotta go" M: "why" K: "julia is freaking out that I havent left your house yet, we had plans for when she got out of work at 7" M: "dude its my birthday. We havent even had cake yet, plans for what" K: "just hang out at her house, but im sorry dude she isnt understanding" M: "whatever" so him and the mutual friend leave and i was crushed. I really got excited that he wanted to hang out on my birthday and then he just left so suddenly. After a few I texted her saying "crazy that he cant hang out on my birthday" and she just started going off saying mean things to/about me and saying how they had plans and its not her fault that "i felt like i didnt spend enough time with him" and that she found out it was my birthday a few days after making the plans.

im running out of space so essentially, next day at work julia shit talked me, i shit talked her, she got mad when I did it and no one took her side and told keegan, Keegan started texting me and we got into an arguement about the situation. He doesnt understand why it was wrong nor does she. I havent said a word to keegan since then and I dont see us just making up. I also really dont want to lose him. We've been metaphorically glued together for almost two years and we just seem to get each other more than i have any other friend. I really dont want to lose him as a friend but i really dont think im wrong. I really dont know so AITA
