I recently got hired on for a country club 47 minutes from where I live. It’ll be a week tomorrow that I had the interview. I was told by the person who hired me that they would text me updates about the job. They did not. I had to call them to get any information yesterday and was told I would be contacted today for more information regarding my first shift.
It is now 7:30 pm and I have not heard a single thing all day. I feel as though I’m being lead on by a company and have started putting in applications again. On top of the applications I also have an interview tomorrow just a little closer to my home and have been contacted by other jobs to fill out applications on their website instead of indeed to get me in their system to do interviews.
I just want to know if I would be wrong if I didn’t show up for work tomorrow if I’m contacted last minute about the shift information.
Edit to add: I have no idea even what yo wear or where to park or nothing
Not really they told me my first shift would probably be tomorrow but they would let me know today. Which they didn’t
That’s my thinking but I need a job so I didn’t know if it would be worth it. Just the fact that they haven’t contacted me once kinda irks my nerves a bit

It really is and it’s frustrating they aren’t keeping their word. If they can’t keep their word from the very get go then how am I suppose to believe what they said in the interview and what they could tell me in the future
