Sorry if I, not allowed to do this, but it's something that's been bugging me.
For the most part this is a decently nontoxic sub. That being said the occasional hot shaming, questioning of people's motives, and putting down people's compliments have no place here in my opinion.
Beauty is completely subjective. Sure there are average norms, but just because you find someone attractive doesn't mean others do and vice versa. A person's self image is often completely different than the way others see them. Most of us probably have a feature that make us insecure that other people hardly notice.
Rules against "compliment fishing" and "hugboxing" need to be honor system since you have absolutely no way of determining whether or not that's the case. Let's just all be excellent to one another.
