This was a few years back and me starting in the workforce I worked at subcontract cell company ( Basically I sold cell phones and services to people but I’m not under the cell phone company them selves ) During this moment my mom went to the hospital due to a body function caused her great pain and she had stay there for a week Side note to this story my mom taught me and my siblings that if she passes then we have to step up and take care of each other and the house so she made us very responsible for our actions and our lives ( in other words to be an idiot and get in trouble ,keep a clean record stuff like that ) Now the boss that I had when I first got hired he’s a pretty chill dude even got me a raise just for cleaning up the back of the store and another one for “stirring up trouble “ with a customer but that’s another story. The boss I’m talking about is the one who replaced him. We will call him Daniel. Daniel was a terrible boss. He curses at anyone who wasn’t making sales, store not being clean , money isn’t counted properly. Even ridiculous ones like not selling a top of the line phone to the customer even though the customer had the exact same phone. Not to mention overworking minors and doing drugs in the stores. We’ll go back to that little later. Here we go. The day where my mom got sent the hospital me, my siblings and our grandmother stayed up all night until visiting hours were over which it was about 4 am. The moment we got back home I went to sleep and I had to open up the store at 8 am but I also had to be on the bus an hour early to make it to work so I only had 3 hours asleep. When I woke up my eyes were blood shot red but in the end ,I got up hit the shower and got on the bus I did my regular rounds of cleaning up the store, counting cash , scanning everything we had to sell ,etc. the store was spotless. No one came in for about 4 hours and it was time for lunch so I closed the store put a sign saying that we was closed for 10 min walked to get my food and came straight back. Then there he was. He smacked my food out my hand and yelled why is the store closed . I told him it was time for my lunch and I went to get food I didn’t want anyone to just walk in there and steal anything because they realize no one was at the counter. He was about to say something and then he stopped because he saw my eyes were still slightly red. He ask am I high. To which I replied no I just got back from the hospital. He was shocked and told me to unlock the door so we can talk . And so I did as soon as we got back he locks it behind him and asks what happened. To then which I explained the situation of my mom and I didn’t get enough sleep which is why my eyes are red. Honestly I thought he was concerned when he ask if I’m ok and why didn’t I take off. I told I’m fine and I told him that my mom told me to still take care of things while she’s in bed rest and that’s how I was raised. No this man looked at me with a cold stare and said one of the of the things that will actually piss me off and willing to fight anyone. “ it sounds like to me that you don’t care if your mom dies.” And that moment I fully blown had it. But I didn’t blow up. I wanted revenge. After that day I went to my bosses boss and told him I will be putting a months notice. He told me why you are one of our best employees . To which I told him and his eyes widen open. He then said this “I understand let me transfer you to a different boss and over to another location that way you can do your time and I will give you a co worker so you can see your mom. I gladly said thank you and left. The following week I went to the new store and meet my co worker. Let’s call him Greg. Now when me and Greg started working we hit it off and had a blast together . Work was bliss for my last few weeks there . Until the 3rd week where you guessed it Daniel came over . He did his usual cursing but this time he targeted me and said “ how’s your mother feeling “ with a smirk I said nothing and kept calm . He then left and Greg said “ I swear he needs to be put in jail .“ I was confused and that’s when I realized something about Greg. Remember when the first thing I said about overworking minors. Greg was 16 during that time and while he was in school he was still had the same hours as I did . And I worked over 50 hours each week. In other words Daniel have made Greg and other minors worked the minors for 50 hours . And here the max for a minor to be working is 24 hours. I asked Greg can I see his id and his last paycheck with just the hours work this week and total for the year which he did. My second to last week arrived and Daniel showed his ugly face again but this time he told me to come to the back. I didn’t know what he was planning so I put my phone in my pocket and left it on recording both video and audio just in case he says something stupid again . But no this time it was much worse when I walked back he was going at the white lines and asked if I want to hit and I then replied no thanks I don’t that crap . He called me a disgrace to my family then sent me off and then asked Greg to come back . I told Greg to record and hide your phone to which he did . Thankfully Greg said no and walked back. When Daniel got back he cursed at us to do better and left . I asked Greg how long had he done this because he never did it at the store I was in . To which he says for a while . Greg airdropped me the video and we continued to work . Last week and the last day for me was a meeting with all the other co workers . Now we don’t say much in the meeting just our sales and next month quotas we had to hit. But Dani boy decided to announce it was my finale day here and tried to give a fake ass heart warm hood bye. This was it for me and I looked at him said my good bye and walked out the door. But before I did let my plan come into fruition. All the recordings of Daniel doing drugs cursing and other nasty stuff I put into a very big file and labels as “ Dani boy adventure “ and air dropped it not only to him but to everyone that had an iPhone and was in that store so his boss , the employees, and the customers saw what Daniel has been doing and everyone was so shocked and disgusted. But I didn’t care for anyone else reaction I cared for the one person who screamed my name the loudest I ever heard. Daniel he tried to come get me but he got over crowded and pushed back. All he saw was me grinning at him and saying “ my mom is doing just fine and she says hello “ and ran out the store. Few weeks came back and I got the news from Greg . Not only did Daniel went to jail for everything he done but it turns out the entire company was in troubles and they had to go bankrupt. The contract that they had with the official cell service company was terminated the moment he got exposed. This honestly made me feel bad. All I wanted was for Daniel to get in trouble for everything he has done not only to me but to the minors he had hired and for the people he has mistreated. I didn’t want the company to go bankrupt because it was fully of good people including Greg. Am the jerk that got an entire company bankrupted and put a man in jail ?
