Amiibo question from my kid

Hi - my kid used the Daruk amiibo on Zelda BOTW and it gave him the Vah Rudania Divine Helm, but his inventory was full and he didn't collect it and now he can't get it again (tried many different days). I tried resetting the amiibo per a Nintendo support article but that didn't do anything. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
