Hey everyone, just a question out of curiosity. I got a gold Amex card back in December of 2020, I’ve had a flawless history with them since then with no bill/payment issues or anything like that. Does Amex normally ever offer Gold cardholders any kind of special promotion to upgrade to the platinum card? Maybe a years’ discount on the annual fee? I’m assuming it’s based on how much you spend on your existing credit/charge card with them.
Has there been anyone who has had any experiences going from gold to platinum or if Amex has personally reached out to you with any special offers in terms of upgrading?
