Amex platinum protest ..

About time Amex gave some love to its platinum card in Canada.. having seen what the card is capable of ( the us platinum) I find it daylight robbery from Amex to charge crazy fees for substandard perks.
We should pick a day. And call Amex call centres to express our desire to cancel the account. While cancelling is your choice, registering protest certainly is the aim.. would this work?
