Amex Cobalt Points Multiplier - Catering

Hello Everyone!
I am a Cobalt user and am a part of a University Club, and we are about to have our end of year banquet. We will be using the University catering team, and they require us to pay by card. Now i’m not sure if they’ll actually take Amex but if they do, does anyone know if this will count at x5 multiplier since it will be Eats and Drinks or will it apply as something else?
