Is it save-able?

Before the anniversary drop, I got a Kirsten off of a 3rd party online seller (I can’t remember which). I took out her braids, and the bottom third of her hair is fried. Lots of split ends. Kinda feels like straw.
Is there a way to save it? Should I just cut it? I’m kind of curious about trying on different wigs. But I don’t even know how to get this one off 😂. I’m open for suggestions!
