Need to cancel part (but not all) of my trip and I'm confused about AA policies. Can anyone help?

Hello all! I'm fairly new to flying (college student) and sorting it all out for the first time has been confusing, so I hope this isn't a stupid question.

I have a round trip flight booked for winter break (two flights there and two flights back). Something came up with my family and my flight out had to be changed to a completely different airport, we booked new tickets for this with another airline. So I won't be making my first two AA flights, but I still need the return flights.

I'm worried that if I just don't show up my last two flights might be canceled, which would be a nightmare. I'm booked Basic Economy so I can't change the flights, and it looks like I can only cancel the entire trip, not just the first two. What am I supposed to do in this situation?

Thanks in advance for any help!

You're out of luck. Cancel and rebook the return.
