Hey guys—I’ve read American’s official pet policy and I’ve read through most of the pet-related posts here. I’m flying with my dog for the first time and I’m just looking for someone whose flown with a pet carry-on to answer a few basically anecdotal questions for me. Namely:

• realistically, how big is your dog? My little guy is a poodle mix who weighs about ten pounds, but he’s kind of tall and long, so I’m a little worried.

• did your dog remain under the seat in front of you the entire way?

I know plenty of people do this and I already know it will be slightly more stressful than flying by myself, but I hope someone can arm me with the benefit of their experience!
