Now that AU's have a significant cost, do AU's now receive all the same perks (priority boarding, etc.) as the primary card holder? I know they previously didn't and only had lounge access.

It’s still cheaper than paying for a membership for two. Makes plenty of sense for us given how much we travel (we’re both EP and generally fly on business class paid - so I don’t have any opinion on boarding preference or baggage allowances).
