We are @Amber_Lamps_Tiny_Home and have been slowly converting our Ex-ambulance over the past 3 years! Lets get to know each other :)
Post Body

We have been living in Amber going on two years now while we travel and work on the build bit by bit! Our two puppers (Zeke and Freya) travel with us everywhere and are brother and sister from the same litter.

We have done 100% of everything on the conversion ourselves from electrical to propane to cabinets to the dining room table.

We started by gutting the interior all the way to the outer skin. The previous owners ripped out a few cabinets and the rear control panel (yay... -,-) so we had a little bit of a headstart on things, but not much compared to how far we ended up going with the teardown.

Some of the highlights: * 30gal freshwater tank fully plumbed to a fullsize kitchen sink with tankless water heater

  • Butcherblock countertop with 'drop-in' storage underneath

  • 3-burner propane stove and oven

  • Dickenson Marine Newport P9000 propane fireplace

  • Natures Head composting toilet

  • 6-person dinette that converts into either a daybed or queen-size bed modes

  • Solid red oak cabinetry

  • Dometic rooftop air conditioner

  • Maxxair roof fan (need a new lid and crank gear mechanism if anyone knows a source)

Happy to answer any questions you might have. We're still learning every day but love helping and sharing our experiences with fellow ambolifers!
