Loscil is easily my favorite ambient artist and Coast/Range/Arc far and beyond my favorite release. Everything about that record—the slowly rising and beatless swells, the minimalist composition, and the WARMTH of it all (except for maybe Neve and Brohm Ridge)—is perfection to me.
Anyway, I’ve struggled to find other ambient in this flavor (warm drone?). The composition is usually either too dark or too busy/upbeat. I’ve heard some stuff by Celer and Hilyard that comes close. Any recommendations you good people have in this vein?
