I'm done. I returned a used iphone well within the return window and they hit me with a 20 percent restocking charge. That charge was not part of the agreement and was never mentioned previously. I spend an hour on the phone going through several idiots before finally getting a competent person, but still didn't get anywhere. So they basically stole $100.
Also, the entire value proposition of Prime has eroded to the point where it's simply not worth it. The cost of Prime is now $140. I am no longer getting two-day shipping, it's often 6-7 days. They let the items sit in the warehouse for several days and then ship in 2 days. They started charging extra to watch much of the programming that used to be included. And now they intend to make members watch ads even after having paid for a Prime membership. No, I am NOT going to pay them $140/yr and then have to watch ads — not happening.
So when I was on the phone trying to get the return straightened out I told them to cancel Prime. They don't seem to care, so why should I? It's an antagonistic relationship. Why would I want to pay a big fee to a company who is constantly working against my interests, and constantly lowering value as if I owe them and they've got me over a barrel. Pffft.
