So I've been using Echo Studio as my PC speaker since December 2023. Ever since I set it up, it will randomly cut all sound or get extremely choppy. It may not be entirely random as it seems to happen more frequently whenever I pause a video or movie I'm watching. I'd say roughly 40% of the time after I continue the video, the sound no longer works or is super choppy. I'm using bluetooth of course. It's relatively easy to fix the issue temporarily, I just go to the Alexa app and hit the pause/play button on the bluetooth device menu again then play the video. Or sometimes I have to disconnect then reconnect the bluetooth entirely from the Alexa app. But I would love to find the source of this issue in the first play so I don't have to continue doing that 2-3 times per day.
I never had this issue using the Aux cable connection to my PC. However, the speaker did randomly make a super loud noise siren-like when starting up my PC once which scared the shit out of me and so I've been using bluetooth since.
I *believe* the issue is simply that it's a bluetooth connection and there's too many wireless/bluetooth connections nearby that the device gets confused on what it's connected to periodically. I live in a townhouse connected to several other townhouses with other bluetooth connections as well. But if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on the source of the problem I'd love to hear it.
