Amazfit BIP - No SMS notifications

Hi guys,
Just got my brand new BIP smartwatch and everything works a treat except for SMS notifications. Ive tried to turn on the default "SMS notifications" and also tried to find the "Messaging" app in the App alerts section without any luck. Ive also tried alert bridge but that doesnt seem to work very well either. Anyone using a Oneplus 6 (or above) know how i can get sms notifications working properly?
EDIT: Actually Alert Bridge did work in the end but I would prefer to use Mi Fit if possible.
