Got a UHF radio in my car (Uniden Sundowner UH-088). Connected her up, coax to arial, power etc. though now I have the issue of I can receive though I cannot transmit properly.

Let me expand, when I press the PTT button on the microphone it shows the TXT symbol on the unit screen as well as a volume bar (full volume - no change) and if I listen from another radio all I hear is silence, though its clear it's making a connection but the voice doesn't follow through.

Receiving end is fine and crystal clear. I've taken apart mic and solders look all sweet so I was wondering if there's other ways to test. Still on search for someone with a mic I can try but in the meantime anyway I can test with meters etc.
