uhf aerial on a budget.

hi. I am 15, so obviously living with my parents, and am looking for a uhf/70cm set up for my room. i have decided on a possible radio , but have not been able to find very much information around nor seen many examples of possible aerials on ebay/amazon (searching "uhf arial" returns tv aerials)
my budget is aprox £20-30 could possibly budge to 40
my dad is also a ham so is obviously understanding about installation etc. but has only been licensed as long as me.
also, i don't know if this is the place to ask but if anyone has any old uhf rigs suitable for repeater use kicking around for <= £50 message me. ;)
