I am 130 lbs, 5'10 physically strong but have very bad stamina, i don't do cardio (i know i should). My style is a Gamboa/ Klitschko (both) type. I sparred a guy who is 160 lbs, also 5'10 has an amatuer record of 7-1 and is also fairly strong and has great stamina, he has won some 10k's. His style is closest to Thurman and Alvarez.
We sparred for 6 rounds and were both tired at the end, keep in mind i can't run a mile without being exhausted.
Rnd 1: We both start out cautious but i take over and land some good 1-2's, he doesn't hand any clean punches.
Rnd 2: He lands his first solid shot of the match it was a straight right. I get aggressive and land a combination going forward, we both exchange punches i get the better of it. I go defensive for the rest of the round making him miss all his shots either rolling them off my shoulder or parrying them.
Rnd 3: He comes on strong and lands a right hook, i dodge his shots to the head for the next 2 minutes. He lands an amazing straight right to the body and winds me, his first body shot of the fight.
Rnd 4: I out jab him for the first minute and land some combinations, which tires me and i try to rest by circling him. He cuts the ring off and misses with a left hook, i counter with a right. I become cocky and drop my hands it pays off as i use head movement to get away from harm.
Rnd 5: My hands are still low he throws some single jabs and 1-2s but misses. I land the occasional jab and out box him. My reflexes let me come out this round unscaved.
Rnd 6: I try the same tactic of having my hands low and pot-shoting. He becomes more active and lands a good right hook to the head. I occasionally raise my hands to block but they are mostly down. He misses more punches but occasionally he will land a good right hand in a combo. He blocks my jabs and 1-2's and misses more punches but still lands more right hands then i would like. He definitely won this round.
