how to make cannabinoid drinks

Simple, inexpensive water soluble, fast acting cannabinoid recipe for making cannabis beverages.

OK, we all want to make weed drinks but it is tough, I’ve found a pretty solid method that needs no specialized equipment and polysorbate 80 which you can get on amz for about $8 for a bottle that you’ll be able to do many many batches with.

You can vary how strong you want this—the first batch I made I did 100mg to ½ oz of liquid (and I used too much polysorbate) so I just ended up taking straight shots of it and washing the bitter taste out of my mouth with milk—less than ideal—so this recipe gives me about 100mg to 2ml of liquid, so I just need 4 droppers for a 200 mg dose—it disappears a lot better in a drink. Of course if you are a normal human and only need a smaller dose – each drop should be about 2.5mg (50mg divided by 20 drops per ml)

So step one is getting an carrier oil infused with cannabinoids. I go the simple route of mixing distillate with coconut oil, but if you have traditionally prepared weed oil (crock pot method or whatever) that will work great, or if you have standard concentrates like live resin or rosin, you just need to decarb your wax first. I used D8 distillate so I just count each gram as 1000 mg, but if you need to decarb you take your THC-A% (if you know it) and multiply by .877 to get your mg of decarbed THC to use in your calculations. If you used the crock pot method, your strength is a pure guess.

So here’s my method/recipe:

5 grams distillate 5 grams coconut oil (MCT or other carrier oils are fine) ½ gram polysorbate 80—this emulsifier should be appx .5% of your total recipe—But I think if you make it with more water you would not need to add more.

Warm and thouroughly blend these ingredients

Put 3 ounces of hot (not boiling) water in your blender. Add the distillate/oil/PS80 blend.

Blend on high speed for 15 minutes. I have no idea if that long is necessary—3 might be adequate, but I figure 15 should definitely do the trick.

As soon as it’s done blending it is ready to mix in to your drinks or items. Enjoy
