Just finished the game: loved it, but also felt that a certain item changed the dynamic of the game.

My brother got me AI for Christmas and I only not got a computer that was able to play it (Macbook Pro). Great experience, really gripping gameplayer.
One thing... I don't know if anyone else felt this but the flamethrower really changed the dynamic of the game for me. The alien was no longer a threat - the Joes were a far, far bigger pain in the ass than the alien almost at every point. Especially since you only found about 1 stun charge per level!
