I've been a very heavy drinker for the last 15 years or so. Things have gotten really out of control since 2020. I have probably 10-15 drinks a day during the week and 20 on the weekends. This is a mixture of usually seltzers, ipas and shots. This year I decided to do dry January. I'm on day 10 and have had zero withdrawal symptoms. No shakes, no sweats, no anything. The last time I even took one singular day off of drinking was over 2 years ago (no withdrawal effects then either).
The only reason I can figure is that I'm completely sober everyday until I get off work or start drinking in the evenings on the weekend. I'm hungover every morning but sober and feeling better by the time I start drinking again. Could this be the reason why? Or do some people just not get withdrawals no matter what?
