My 30-something sister got arrested tonight for a DWI. I’ve seen signs that she may be low on the spectrum for alcohol abuse over the years. I’m concerned that the addiction fully developed and becoming more severe.
I want to speak to her about getting help but I’m worried she will be both defensive and in denial about the fact that there is an addiction.
I just want her to get help.
What have been some things that people have said to you that have opened your eyes about addiction that didn’t further alienate you? What dialogue did they use? Please help me.
