I'm sorry if this question/topic has been posted here before. I just celebrated a year of sobriety (never thought that was possible) and AA has been a HUGE part of my journey and a program I am very grateful for. My sponsor and her fiance (he tends to offer his insights into my step work as well, for better or worse) are very big into AA, so much so that I worry sometimes about sharing my interest in other programs, therapy, etc.
With all of that said, would it be wrong to attend/check out a SMART recovery meeting? I have been interested in checking it out (and just interested in general about learning more/exploring more in recovery). I have made plans to go to a SMART meeting tonight but feeling guilty. Am I overthinking this? Any insight or advice would be helpful!
PS. I am not looking to stop AA-just expanding my horizons (if that's considered okay).
