Gratitude
For the few people that took the time to help me out with what I was going through commenting on my last post and for others that reached out and send me pm sharing guidance and providing help I want to say.. Sincerely thank you. After this recent experience I felt like sharing something what was on my mind in terms of Alchemy, Transformation and Transmutation.
Transformation
My recent experience made me rethink the notion of transformation in context of Alchemy on the notion of the self.
- What am I talking about?
- What is spiritual transformation and what do I have to share about it?
Everything I thought I knew disappeared, however something else emerged something positive and more stable than I previously thought it to be. Whether it is a earlier stage of development or more essential part of who I am I don't really care. Also it is not the subject of this post. All I know for now is that this part of me is youthful, positive, kind, hopeful for life, less selfish and more loving. In a way this was an experience of transformation for me. The experiences that happened post the initial point of retraumatization made me believe in God instead of questioning his existence. So what about transformation?
I now more deeply understand that Alchemy is forever in action. The self is subjected to constant transformation in this life. Change. I am talking about the fact that everything you do or not do and everything you believe or not believe and everything that happens in your environment transforms you. That transformation can either go towards the liberation of the soul and revealment of the true self or towards the imprisonment of the soul believing in that which you are not. So, what is necessary for that transformation? It is subjecting yourself to suffering and obviously change in order to overcome it and come out of it being something completely new. Like a caterpillar transforming itself into a butterfly by process of metamorphosis. Why? Well I don't really know. What I do know is that this is the process of life and nature and if I we are to believe Alan Watts on it then this process is done towards the purpose of celebration of the self. So there is really no why. Philippe Petit once said that he walked the wire for the poetry of it and not for because and look what the man did.. he walked the wire between The Twin Towers. If that is not true self expression then I do not know what is. So to conclude what is spiritual transformation it is completely changing who you think you are into that who you really are and that is something that each and every life for the self can discover trough Alchemy and constant transformation. And this process is eternal because I think the soul is boundless and can be whatever it wishes to express.
Transmutation
So what about transmutation? Well I believe it leaves us with only one thing. That thing is refinement. What is refinement? It is the reiteration of transformation that happens to the self eternally. It is constantly subjecting the self to transformation to the point that transmutation of the soul takes place to the point that the soul passes all the stages from lead into gold. How long does this process take? Well whole of self's life. I guess that leaves us with Magnum Opus or Great Work being done until the end of our life's and helping others doing the same, and lucky one's who do the work whatever it means might just reach The Philosopher's Stone. These were my thoughts on the subject I am really curious about what you guys think on it. What can you take away from this? Or bring to this? Feel free to share your thoughts.
I leave you with this. For some reason I thought of this picture, I remember once seeing it.
