Hiya!
Ex-Eve player, current WoW WotLK player. Interested in playing Albion Online to scratch my crafting itch.
Looking through the game mechanics I can see that the different zones are similar to the different security ratings in Eve.
One of the major drawbacks to Eve for me is the fact that you ALWAYS have to be on your toes. You can always and will always get ganked regardless of what you do or where you are (blue zones aren't safe essentially, and full loot even when killed in a blue zone)
Now, I don't mind full loot etc. And if I were to play Albion I'd probably venture into black zones once in a while.
I'd just like to have the option of lazily grinding a bit with little danger for a few hours whilst watching a series.
I LOVE crafting and making profit that way and I was wondering if the markets are only in blue zones? And if they are, how viable is it to buy goods from the market, turn them into items, and sell those on the market?
Is this a reasonable playstyle as a casual player or will you always lose money this way?
I can only play a few hours most of the days of the week, and thus wouldn't want to be 'forced' to play the game else I lose progress etc.
Is this possible? I just saw a video on YouTube that claimed crafting was something you should never do as a casual player, is this true?
Cheers, Sorrol
