A couple weeks ago, I received a call from a walk-in clinic that they had my Alberta Healthcare card. I was confused, since I lost that card 5 years ago, and don't know why a new one would have possibly ended up at walk-in clinic I've never been to. So I went there, the doctor's office half was closed, but the pharmacy was open, and they were who had my card. It turned out, they had the card that I lost 5 years ago. Someone found it on the ground, and turned it in.
So it's obviously been in someone's possession, and it's also been "out and about" considering it was found at a doctor's office in decent condition years after it was lost.
Who do I call, what do I need to know? Is there anything that can be done against me, assuming it hasn't been used to try and get some credit or something issued?
